High Country Outdoors is built to help you explore trails, rivers, waterfalls, and fishing spots — not to collect your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we keep it minimal.

3. Outdoor & Conditions Data

High Country Outdoors displays publicly available trail, river, waterfall, and fishing information sourced from the National Park Service, US Forest Service, USGS, and NC/TN/VA state parks. Live river conditions are fetched from public USGS gauge data. This data contains no user information of any kind.

4. Weather

High Country Outdoors Pro includes trailhead weather forecasts. Weather data is fetched using your approximate location via a public weather API. No personally identifiable information is included in those requests.

5. Notifications

If you enable trail alerts, the app uses Apple's push notification system. No notification data is stored on our servers beyond what Apple's standard push infrastructure requires.

6. Children's Privacy

High Country Outdoors does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and contains no content inappropriate for children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
