Triangle Happenings is built to help you discover local events — not to collect your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we keep it minimal.

We collect very little information:
- Location (optional): If you grant permission, we use your approximate location to surface nearby events. Location data is used on-device only and is never transmitted to our servers.
- App preferences: Your county selections, category preferences, and saved events are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage.
- In-app purchases: Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell or share data with advertisers or third-party analytics platforms.
3. Event Data
Triangle Happenings displays publicly available event information sourced from local venues, universities, arts organizations, and community calendars across the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Triangle area. This data is fetched from a publicly accessible JSON file hosted on GitHub and contains only event details (name, date, location, description) — no user data of any kind.
4. Notifications
If you enable notifications, the app uses Apple's local notification system to remind you about saved events. No notification data leaves your device or is processed by our servers.
5. Weather
Triangle Happenings Pro includes a weather feature. Weather data is fetched using your approximate location via a public weather API. No personally identifiable information is included in those requests.
6. Children's Privacy
Triangle Happenings does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and contains no content inappropriate for children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
